Normal service is resumed!

It wasn't until I took a break from blogging that I discovered how popular by blog is! I am amazed at the number of emails I have received from all over the World, it has been a lovely surprise, many thanks to you all.

So in response to some of your questions;

I am working on some information about 'La Jovienne' and promise I will post some photos and tarifs soon.
Likewise some of the history of this area and in particular the village of Job. I am currently reading a book about local history and the stories are making my hair curl (more about that later).

There is a Blogger glitch that seems to be preventing people from commenting or following the blog, but please keep trying. I think signing up for email reminders of my updates does work.

I had to stop blogging and concentrate on my accounts for a while. Not my favourite part of running a business I admit that I do prevaricate for a while and I am a list maker par-excellence. However running a business in France requires lots of list making so maybe that isn't such a bad thing. Can you believe that I have to keep a Police Register of all the items I buy and sell, this is as well as my stock book. I am also supposed to give each item an ID number and tag them, but this gets tricky when I launder them! It is quite an unwieldy system but the prospect of going to prison if I don't comply does concentrate my mind somewhat!

Once that was out of the way I rewarded myself with a much needed trip to the hairdresser. This doesn't sound like a big deal but finding a hairdresser in France is not easy. There is a tendency to go for bright colours, in particular what I recently saw described as 'post menopausal red', this is usually teamed with spiky tufts!
So when I do find someone who can cut my fine straight hair well (I might have exaggerated the curls) I remain very loyal. However all my hairdressers, both here and in England have become pregnant! Maybe I should charge them!
 My new hairdresser is excellent, well worth the extra kilometres, I don't want to lose her so I'm not going to tell her what happened to the others.
I also did some shopping. This might not sound like a big deal but girly shopping days are my idea of hell. I would much rather be out searching for antique textiles but I did need some new clothes.  In the end I found some lovely stuff.  As a result I  feel like I've had a makeover and I've prepared for the Winter weather in style!
I can't wait to get back to travelling far and wide to find lovely textiles and 'objets' to list.
