December 1st.

I have been watching this tree from the salon window for weeks.
It has held on to its leaves long after the surrounding trees, they survived all kinds of bad weather including strong winds and cold misty mornings.
It glowed in the late afternoon as it caught the last rays of sunshine.
Today it is completely bare and is it is the 1st of December so it could herald the start of Winter, but it is so hot and sunny that it is hard to believe. I can't bring myself to think about Christmas decorations yet, and I think I am going to do something 'lighter' this year, unless the weather changes dramatically.
Finally I am a very happy lapin today because my beloved Georgette is home from hospital. I did tentatively suggest that she might want to take things easy for a while and she told me in no uncertain terms that she hadn't slowed down for the first 80 years so she didn't intend starting now. Plans for her birthday celebrations are underway!
