There was just enough time between guests to manage a sneaky trip to the Alps for a few days. It was a chance to meet up with Sam who is in Morzine with friends. It is a year since I last saw him!
It was reassuring to see how they had prepared the van for the long journey!
They are spending most of their time make perilous descents on mountain bikes and have planned a trip into Switzerland cycling and using the ski lifts. This love of living dangerously is most definitely not genetic!
I did agree to go in the cable car and am glad I did, the view of Montblanc from the top was superb.
And you could have a cup of coffee!
I probably would never have considered going to Morzine in the Summer but I would definitely go back. The town was buzzing with activity, everything was fresh and bright with lots to do and see.
As for Sam.............well judging by the photos that have since appeared on Facebook, it looks as if he descended one of the slopes on his derriere! Ouch!
