I can't believe how long it has been since my last post. I had just been thinking that bookings were slow and of course they came pouring in!
So the house had a much needed Spring clean, mostly because the old bakery nearby is being renovated and for a few days there was a compressor and three hammer drills working flat out. The fine dust swirled every where.
I needed a Spring clean too and so for Valentine's day we bought a juicer (how romantic non?) and since then I have become completely hooked.
The juices seem to be either orange;
or green;
There was a rather grim looking khaki one when I added radishes, it tasted okay but........
My favourite includes a ripe pear, fresh root ginger, a lime and armfuls of fresh coriander, with mint and cucumber a close second.
My biggest disaster was okra! In a matter of seconds the green juice became thick and gloopy, almost impossible to swallow!!! it looked like something from a horror film although I suspect it could be a huge success at children's parties!
Inspired I went on to buy a book, did an elimination fast and lost 5 kilos. I also seem to have more energy!
Inbetween guests I have been out searching for more stock and found some wonderful things to list including a big batch of beautiful hand embroidered chemises;
and these wonderful curtains with a matching pillow, they feel just right for Springtime.
I shall be listing them soon.
