There have been some very cold days recently that prompted the preparations for Winter.
New Winter tyres, an absolute necessity on icy mountain roads, piles of logs delivered and stacked, the chimney swept, Winter clothes sorted out and a new extra large warm soft duvet.
Yesterday the temperature was 30° C (86° F) so we can still have breakfast on the terrace, watching the last wisps of mist on the mountain and watch the red squirrels scampering around in the walnut trees. I do love it here!
It is lucky that is it still warm really because all my Winter clothes are way too big! Including the beautiful coat I bought in the Spring sales, I was really looking forward to wearing that. A nice problem to have though.
